Mt. Sinai Friendship United is advancing Hill Place Residences, a proposed mixed-income housing development in Cleveland’s Woodland corridor. The project would be located on approximately two acres of vacant, City Land Bank-owned property consisting of 19 contiguous parcels within the existing Hill Place residential community. The preliminary concept anticipates approximately 20–30 new townhomes and apartments with a mix of rental and for-sale opportunities.
The development is envisioned as a natural extension of the existing Hill Place neighborhood and of Mt. Sinai’s longstanding presence in the community. The proposed development is intended to create high-quality housing that promotes stability, opportunity, and long-term neighborhood investment. The project will complement the neighborhood’s existing garden-style townhomes, shared green spaces, and proximity to Woodland Central Green Park while creating potential pathways to homeownership and greater housing security for families and individuals. Beyond housing, Hill Place Residences is intended to connect residents with resources that support economic mobility and long-term community wellbeing. Mt. Sinai Friendship United plans to build upon its existing financial literacy, workforce development, family support, credit-building, and homeownership-preparation programs, while also exploring the potential for limited community-oriented space within the development.
