Glendale Heights is a family-oriented community located about 30 miles west of Chicago, IL. The village is updating its Comprehensive Plan to help guide future growth and development for the next 10-15 years.

A central gathering place for residents and a unique community identity are other initiatives that Glendale Heights is pursuing. The Parks and Recreation Master Plan aims to improve access to existing parks, develop conceptual designs in new areas, and include new amenities.

While public engagement continues, residents, community leaders, and staff have expressed a strong interest in more shopping and dining destinations in Glendale Heights. New parks and facilities are also desired with features like kid’s play places, basketball, playground equipment, and programs.
